Saturday 4 October 2025 is International Observe the Moon Night. Weather permitting, we will be running observing sessions with the U3A telescopes at the Mallacoota tennis courts, from 7pm to 8:30pm on the nights of October 1 to October 7 inclusive. We’ll be using online teaching resources provided by NASA, including their on-line interactive moon maps, to ensure you get the most out these sessions.

These sessions will also be an opportunity to view Saturn which will be visible in the north-east during this period. The rings will be edge on, but a number of Saturn’s moons should be visible arrayed around it.
